Happy Endings Pieced Border Class
Do you have quilt tops you would like to border, but are tired of sewing the same old strips of fabric to your masterpiece and calling it a border?
Aileen has introduced a new 4-Part, once monthly, pieced borders class. During each session, a pieced border will be introduced. Aileen will guide you through measuring your quilt, determining a border size, calculating the yardage and cutting your border pieces. By making these calculations, you can rest assured your pieced border strips will not only fit your quilt, you will enjoy the thrill of accomplishment when you see your finished quilt.
You will need at least one quilt center for the series. If you would like to use only one quilt top and incorporate each pieced border in your piece, it is conceivable that your initial "medallion" might be just 12" square. If you have a number of quilt tops that you might like to use only one of the pieced border treatments, that is also do-able.
The Happy Endings 4-Part series begins Thursday, June 19, 2014. Each session is 3-hours in duration and session times are from 1PM - 4PM. The remaining three sessions will be held on the third Thursday of each month through September 2014.
The registration fee for all four sessions is $60.00. No books or patterns are required, although all sewing supplies are the responsibility of the student and are not part of the registration fee.
BIG NEWS: A second 4-Part Happy Endings Border Series has been scheduled for Saturday, June 28, July 26, August 30, and September 27, 2014. Class times for the new Saturday series is from 10AM to 1PM.
