NEW! NEW! NEW! 3/9/10 - We're almost done moving!

We still don't have our internet connection, and there are still things to organize, but the bulk of the move is over! Thank God for great weather over the last few days. At times it seemed a little cold, but I'd rather move when it's cold than in the middle of August.

When we are all done I'll post some pictures of the shop, but for now, feel free to come down and see how things are looking. Within the next two days I expect to be completely done with moving and organizing the new store.

Just so you know, the new shop is located at the Southeast corner of the Old Town Front Street and Santiago Road intersection. This intersection is just outside the South end of Old Town. We're right next to the liquor store, and really easy to find!

2/20/10 - Move date scheduled for March 6

Walls have been built, the electrician has installed the outlets we required, phone lines have been installed, and new slatwall has been ordered. This week we should see the walls being textured, as well as painted, and I'm hoping that the carpet is in by the end of the week. There's still lots to do, but we have committed to start moving on Saturday, March 6. That's exactly 2 weeks from today!

Even though I've been as busy as ever, I'm still keeping up with service and repairs of sewing machines. If you are thinking about bringing in your machine for service, you should either do so within the next couple of days, or wait a couple of weeks. We will move your machine safely if it is in our possession, but we are trying to reduce the number of things we have to move, so the fewer machines we have the better.

I'll keep you updated, and I hope that you will come check out the new location in mid March!

2/1/10 - It's official. We're moving!

Our landlord has confirmed that we are moving. So were not moving far, because we are still going to be in the same mall, but now we are going to be facing Old Town Front Street. I'm really excited about the move.

The new location will have better visibility, but the size of the store will be smaller. We will still have everything we have now, but our luxurious lunchroom is going away, and the size of our classroom will be a bit smaller. I think our customers will feel safer about leaving the store at night, because we will no longer be in the back of the mall.

Right now it looks like we will be moving sometime between early and mid March. I think we should definitely be in the new location by April 1st. I'll keep you posted.

1/17/10 - We are excited about 2010!

Temecula Valley Sewing Center has been in the same location for 5 years, and we know we are hard to find. We are working on moving to a better location, and will let you know as soon as we have found one. We are going to try to make this as painless as possible, and with God's blessing, we should be in our new location by the end of April. What this means for you is that we are going to be having a lot of really incredible sales, because the more we sell, the less we have to move. So please help us, and take advantage of the sales we will have in the next couple of months by signing up for our email newsletter, and watching for the great deals!
